Pakistan's IT exports increase by 19%


Islamabad: Imports of Pakistan telecommunications, computer and information services have increased by 18.5% to $ 51.7 million during the first seven months of this financial year.

The bulk of this is achieved under Software Consultancy Services, whose exports have increased by 12% to $ 15.9 million.

Exports of computer software with software consultancy also increased by 8.17% to $ 12.8 million, up from $ 11.8 million in the same period last fiscal.

Talking about the data for the first seven months, Shahzad Shahid, chairman of the Pasha company, said that the information technology sector has made impressive progress.
