U-19 World Cup Semi-Final: India target of 173 runs to win
Johannesburg: Pakistan beat India by 173 runs in the first semi-final of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa.
The national team decided to bat after winning the toss against India which did not prove good and the whole team went all out for 172 in 43 overs.
Pakistan captain Rohil Nazir scored 62 and Hyderabad scored 56 runs. India's Sushant Mishra struck out three while Tyagi struck out two.
Six players of the national team were dismissed for just 26 runs, at one time the Green Shirts scored 144 for four wickets.
Pakistan started the innings by Mohammad Herrera and Haider Ali, but the partnership of Salami did not last long and the first wicket fell to 9 runs.
Mohammed Herrera fell to Mishra for four runs, while the second wicket of the national team also fell soon when Fahad Munir was dismissed without leg-spinner Ravi Bishenu.
After that, a good partnership of 62 runs between captain Rohil Nazir and Haider Ali was established, but Haider Jaswas caught a shot while playing the ball.
After Haider, no batsman stood on the crease and once again all the wickets of the national team fell.
