Violent Case: Request for Review of Supreme Court Decision
Islamabad: A petition for review of the Supreme Court decision has been filed in the Tina violence case.
Former Sessions Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan filed a petition seeking review of the judicial decision, which requested that the Supreme Court review the decision on January 10, 2020.
The petitioner took the stand that the judicial decision was against the requirements of justice and that the evidence was not properly reviewed before the decision was rendered.
The accused took the stand that the decision ignored important legal questions that did not meet the requirements of the law, legal merits were not disclosed. The decision to increase the punishment is not in accordance with the law.
The text of the petition includes that the victim's child has recorded a statement of her own that she did not torture, while relying on the testimony of private witnesses at the time of the verdict.
