ECC meeting, gas prices likely to rise

Islamabad: A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee, chaired by Advisor Finance Minister Hafiz Sheikh, has commenced during which a brief review of the increase in gas prices will be considered.

Prices are likely to be approved by five to 15 percent during the meeting.

Blast victims will be cleared to pay compensation in 2014 in Fateh Kacheri Islamabad.

Similarly, funds related to the establishment of the Digital Media Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be approved.


The National Telecommunication Corporation will also consider an exemption of 8 percent income tax exemption.
