The Legend of Maula Jatt all set to hit cinemas on Eid-ul-Fitr


Lahore: The Legend of Maula Jatt is all set to hit cinemas across the country on Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to details, the makers of the most anticipated Pakistani film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, have announced the release date of the movie following the withdrawal of a case pertaining to violation of copyrights againt the movie.

Directed by Bilal Lashari, The Legend of Maula Jatt features Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malick and Gohar Rasheed in pivotal roles.

The upcoming movie is said to be Pakistan's most expensive production to date.

Previously, Sarwat Bhatti, the original producer of Punjabi movie Maula Jatt, decided to withdraw cases against The Legend of Maula Jatt.

In 2017, Bhatti had moved the court against the latest version produced by Bilal Lashari and Ammara Hikmmat, claiming violation of copyrights. 

An official confirmation for the release of the movies is yet to be made by the producer of the film Ammara Hikmat and Lashari.

Bhatti said that they can release the film on Eid-ul-Fitr or later, adding that he will support it.

 “Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari are like my children. Someone misguided them however all kids tend to make mistakes and therefore I am willing to put everything behind me. I am doing this for their welfare, for the revival of cinema and for giving the much needed boast to Pakistan film industry. I will no longer be a hurdle in the release of The Legend of Maula Jatt. Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari can release their film on Eid-ul-Fitr or on any date they would like to release the film. I will support them,” Bhatti was quoted as saying by Entertainment Pk.

Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, and Hamza Ali Abbasi are starring in the film. Its first tailor was released in 2018.
