Punjab approves anti-polio campaign every month this year

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Usman Bazdar approved the anti-polio drive this year.

Usman Bazdar directed the high-risk districts to pay special attention and ensure 100% implementation of the anti-polio plan.

Chief Minister Punjab said that there was alarm in the presence of polio cases in different districts of Punjab. In the districts with polio cases, the administration would have to effectively deal with polio.

He said that a special anti-depressive campaign would be launched in 36 districts of Punjab from February 17 in which 2 crore children would be given anti-polio drops.


Usman Bazdar added that the participation of elected representatives and counters is essential in the anti-polio campaign, adding that the community's involvement will help to counteract polio.
