Pakistan, Turkey announce joint action against Islamophobia
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan says Turkey will work together against Islamophobia.
According to details at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo ۔an in the Federal Capital, Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that I welcome Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo ۔an in Pakistan. He said that the people have liked the speech of the Turkish President's Parliament. If the Turkish President contested the elections here today, he would make a clean sweep.
The Prime Minister said that I am grateful to the Turkish President for raising the voice for Kashmiris; Kashmiris are locked in a jail for 6 months, political leaders are in prison, Kashmir is a contentious area, Kashmiri youth have been kept in jails.
He said that with the MoUs signed today, a new era of Pak-Turkish relations is coming. The agreement signed today will benefit both the countries, the areas that Pakistan wants to promote.
Imran Khan said that the president is appreciative of standing with Pakistan against terrorism, thankful that Turkey stands with us if there is any problem.
The Prime Minister said that we fully support Turkey at every level of the world and in Ankara the FATF supported us on which they express their gratitude.
He said that apart from politics, the media will also fight cultural issues and benefit from the Turkish film industry. Films and plays of Turkish film industry will be broadcast on local media which will be based on discouragement of Islamophobia. ۔
The Prime Minister said that Turkey earns $ 35 billion annually from tourism and has experience in building cheap houses and therefore will benefit from it in both fields.
On the occasion, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo بہترینan said that the Pakistani government and the people should be thankful for the best reception. Pakistan is our brother, they will stand together in every difficulty and will support Pakistan as their second home.
He said it was a pleasure to visit Pakistan after three years and the agreements on promoting cooperation in other fields including education, communication, health, culture and other countries are a sign of Pak-Turkish close relations.
Recep Tayyip Erdo ۔an thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for his actions against terrorist organizations and said that cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey in the areas of defense, military training is a reflection of deep friendship.
He further said that Pakistan and India should resolve the issue through Kashmir talks, Pakistan's role for peace and stability in the region is excellent.
