Government is working for the economy: Hafiz Sheikh


ISLAMABAD: Advisor Finance Minister Hafiz Sheikh has said that the government is working for the economy, the opposition will patiently wait for the 2023 elections.
Addressing the National Assembly session, Advisor Finance Hafiz Sheikh said that the impact of the economy is directly affecting our people, Pakistan has not succeeded in other countries in 72 years. I am not progressing. He said that when Ishaq was scared, 30,000 billion rupees was in debt to the country. That was the root of all the problems, he said, adding that the current account deficit was the biggest risk signal. Given, the rupee can be printed but not the dollar. The Treasury said the previous government had blown the dollar for the appreciation of the rupee, which reduced the foreign exchange reserves.
Hafeez Shaikh said that Pakistan tax collection also did not succeed. It is unfortunate that no Prime Minister has been allowed to meet the deadline till today. He said that it is important to listen to each other and respond. If we have to stand with the developed nations we need to be careful.
