Decision to set up more basic health centers in Islamabad

Islamabad: The federal government has decided to establish more basic health centers to provide health services at the doorstep of Islamabad's citizens.

Due to the lack of basic health centers in the urban and rural areas of Islamabad, citizens have to go to the polic clinic and PIMMS hospital for treatment of minor diseases. Due to the high number of patients in these hospitals, most patients do not get timely checkups.

According to sources, the meeting will be chaired by Secretary Planning on setting up of basic health centers in Islamabad today. At the meeting, district administration officers will give briefings on the basic health centers.
